Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc.
WELCOME to our website,

You have found the webpage for Biscayne Chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America.  We are a non-profit group that enjoys the needle arts — needle and thread arts that is.  Our aim is to preserve and advance the art of embroidery.  We meet on a monthly basis at Riviera Presbyterian Church and enjoy a program and company of others who pursue the needle arts.  Our group not only serves embroiderers, it has programs that reach out and serve the community.  If this sounds like something you would like to check out, come and visit us.  The dates, time, and address of our meetings can be found under the Programs tab at the top of the page.  We have a lot of fun, and would like to meet you.

NEXT MEETING: Our meetings are held on the FIRST Friday of each month - (9:30am-3:00pm) at Riviera Presbyterian Church, Sunset Drive, S. Miami:

The January, April, May, June, September, and October meetings are general meetings when business items arising are covered between 10:00am and 10:30am and are followed by a short program. The February Meeting is our annual Stash-to-Stash when members are encouraged to donate unwanted stitching items to the Chapter for sale to other members. The March Meeting is our annual Birthday Party to celebrate the anniversary of the formation of the Chapter; longevity and other awards are distributed. The December meeting is our annual Holiday Party and usually consists of some fun activities and a pot-luck lunch. In addition, new Board Officers are inducted if necessary. The March and November meetings are formal Business meetings when items arising that need a membership vote are put forward. Members are encouraged to bring their stitching projects and stay to enjoy the company. There are no meetings in July and August as we take our summer recess. Membership is renewed annually in May.
